BINGETHINKERS
Over the past half-decade, Bingethinkers have built their reputation as one of Sydney’s most dynamic hip hop outfits- electrifying audiences with their remarkable live show.
The group is comprised of MC Rinse on the mic, DJ 2Buck (Dialectrix, Gully Platoon) on the decks (and beats) and producers Aeon (a member of Sydney rock/electronica act Decoder Ring) and PSYKEone on the beats. This combination of high energy, boom bap production and razor sharp lyrics create an unmatched collection of individual talent sharing a single ethos.
Karoshi is Sydney based brother duo Beres and Dave Jackson. Already getting solid airplay for the lead single 'Sleepwalker' on Triple J and FBI Radio, the album is sure to turn a few heads with its fresh take on post-rock electronica.
"One of the most refreshing albums Australia has seen in recent times." The Bell
"A gorgeously textured and sophisticated pop record." The Brag
"Beautiful, weightless, ethereal" Dom Alessio Triple J
Emerald Web was a band that recorded, performed in Planetariums, composed soundtracks for Carl Sagan, and concert toured around the US, from 1978-1990. They were known for innovative synthesizer orchestration and created a unique blend of "electronic space music" and acoustic instruments. The band consisted of Kat Epple and Bob Stohl who composed on keyboards, digital orchestrations, flutes, and Lyricon.
Their 11 albums include: "Dragon Wings and Wizard Tales", "Whispered Visions", "Sound Trek", "Valley of the Birds", "Aqua Regia", "Nocturne", "Lights of the Ivory Plains", "Traces of Time", "Catspaw", "Dreamspun", and "Manatee Dreams of Neptune". In addition to some self-published albums, the band was also signed with record labels Fortuna Records, Celestial Harmonies, Scarlet Records, and Passport Records. Their album, "Catspaw" was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1986.
Birthed in the bowels of the Brisbane underground Interspecies has existed in one form or another for several years in the guise of a creative outlet for it's core members to let go, enjoy themselves and just rock the fuck out basically. Never intended to be viewed as a public project, demos were cut and discarded without a second thought. Eventually, due to a groundswell of support from their believers and a begrudging nod from their enemies plans were hatched to record a full length genre hopping album. For these hypocrisy hating reclusive individuals to get off their collective butts and expose themselves in every sense of the word to the outside world is an achievement in itself.
Their track Interspecies Erotica features in our Blue Monday Trailer - Performed by Interspecies
Muisc by Steven Hansell and Lyrics and Vocals by Kent Boreham (yep that's Craig's bro).
